The West Side Trails are the newest enhancement to the Alice Springs MTB Trail Network. The Northern Territory Government, NT Parks & Wildlife and Tricky Tracks have done a fantastic job on the refurbishment of this network.

In Westside, you will find that easier tracks marked as green, intermediate tracks as blue, and hard tracks as black.

  • The most difficult of the blue trails in West Side is, “The Flying Doctor”

  • Riders will find the iconic, “Black Slabbath” feature on The Bus Track. This is a one-way track (DOWN), that enduro and downhill riders particularly enjoy

  • Hell Line is a favourite among locals who ride cross-country. If leaving from Outback Cycling with the intention of riding the Hell Line, you can expect a minimum 30km ride. Take at least 3 litres of water and nutrition for this, as it takes longer than most people expect. You may also lose mobile phone service in areas

  • Can you find the ‘bike playground’? (Hint: it’s somewhere along a blue trail)

  • The trail map on this page is the Trail Head from the Lovegrove Drive entrance.
